After spending more than three weeks in the Diaspora, militant leader of the National Vendors Union of Zimbabwe Sten Zvorwadza says he now has the resources to hold sustainable demonstrations until President Robert Mugabe led government crumbles.

There has been a lull in demonstrations in the country after Zvorwadza went to United Kingdom, Sweden and Denmark seeking support from Zimbabweans based there to end Mugabe's 36 year old rule and now he says he is back with vengeance.

Recently, Zvorwadza, hit out at the country's main opposition leaders, accusing them of hypocrisy in the fight against the Zanu-PF administration.

Speaking in Manchester during a recent visit to the United Kingdom, Zvorwadza said opposition politicians such as Morgan Tsvangirai and Joice Mujuru were more interested in massaging their egos rather than taking on President Robert Mugabe.

The activist said he has regularly been beaten senseless by the security services when demonstrating against the government with little support from opposition politicians and their parties.

"Tsvangirai and Mujuru can easily mass thousands of people into stadiums and on the streets but only when they want to prove that they are popular; not to take on the government.

"If I could get 5,000 supporters from each of the political parties onto the streets, we would bring this government down in a matter of days. But the politicians do not want to back our efforts because they think we would become too powerful," he said.
