Zimbabweans abroad urged to come home and vote in 2018

Campaigns are currently on going online urging Zimbabweans in the diaspora to come home and vote in the 2018 elections so as to ensure that they determine how their country should be run after 36 years of alleged destruction by President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF government.
Zimbabwe's 3 million or so diasporans almost certainly won't be allowed to vote in the 2018 elections unless they come home twice - once to register, once again to vote, according to reports on Wednesday.
The campaign read online states that "that's despite a provision in the new constitution guaranteeing all Zimbabwean citizens the right to vote.* Three years after the constitution was adopted at a referendum, the electoral law has still not been aligned with the constitution - which is why, as it stands, Zimbabwean voters based outside the
country will have their vote denied."
Analysts say it is unlikely the situation will change.
