Man axes wife to death over children dispute

Guruve - In a bizarre incident a 55 year old man fatally axed his wife over children dispute before committing suicide on Saturday the 19th of November in Ruyamuro Guruve.
According to eye witnesses Doesmatter Bandawe murdered his wife Unita Kawa on Saturday after his two children had refused to look after tobacco seedbed saying that they were sick.
It is alleged Bandawa spate venom on his children which angered the mother instigating the mother to confront the father.
Bandawa went to a bar after being confronted by his wife and he came back late only to see his wife in slumber and axed her several times before telling his children that he had killed his wife and was committing suicide too.
He locked his bedroom door, drank tobacco pesticide and he died.
It was raining cats and dogs on the fateful day and the message of the death took long to reach the police.
The corpses are currently at Guruve mortuary for safe keeping.
Murder cases are on the increase in Mashonaland Central province since people are not respecting human life.
