A political analyst Vince Musewe has said the suggested option for parents to pay school fees for their children in form of goats and the command agriculture a purely Zanu PF gimmick to lure electorate to vote for the revolutionary movement as the 2018 elections draw closer.

Primary and secondary education minister Lazarus Dokora recently said the parents can settle their children's fees by paying using goats while Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is championing the government's command agriculture.

"Mark my words: as so called enlightened educated Zimbos joke about goats on social media and publish academic papers to show case their sophistication Zanu PF will use this simple matter to gain support and votes for 2018. Same as command agriculture," Musewe said.

"At times our seeming sophistication is irrelevant to those that need simple practical solutions to their life problems. I am informed that rural folk are loving this move."
