Land baron up for selling owned land

A Land baron from Ntabazinduna has been dragged to court after he sold a land owned by another villager to a home seeker.
Isaac Silumbu was not asked to plead to the charge of fraud when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Batanai Tuwe. The magistrate remanded him to June 22 out of custody.
The court heard that on January 31 2015 the complainant Abel Dube (45) of Surbubs in Bulawayo made some transactions with Silumbu after Silumbu promised to assist him secure a homestead land. Dube paid $400 on the same day. Dube later made a follow up and approached the owner of the stand only identified as Ngulube who said Silumbu never gave him the money.
On inquiring with Silumbu he became evasive and a report made to the police led to his arrest.
