RE: INVITATION TO A MEMORIAL SERVICE IN HONOUR OF TATA NELSON ROLIHLAHLA MANDELA. SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER 2013 AT THE AMPHITHEATRE. AT 9:30AM
The Bulawayo City Council in collaboration with various stakeholders will hold a memorial service in honour of the late former President of the Republic of South Africa, Tata Nelson Rohhlahla Mandela, on Saturday, 14 December 2013 at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre, Centenary Park.
It will be recalled that the Bulawayo City Council resolved on 20 July, 1994 that His Excellency, the State President of the Republic of South Africa, the Hon Nelson Rohhlahla Mandela be awarded the Freedom of the City for his unprecedented contribution to democratic development and restoration of peace and stability in South Africa in a period spanning more than three decades. While Council had passed the above resolution, the conferment ceremony was not held.
The Bulawayo community is hereby invited to attend the service which commences at 9.30am.
Your attendance and participation In this important occasion is greatly appreciated. May we all dress appropriately for this solemn occasion with men preferably in suits.
