The Tsvangirai owned MDC-T party must shut up: MDC Renewal SA Province
27 Nov 2014 at 13:39hrs | Views
Yesterday was a historic day for all Zimbabweans who yearn for true democracy in a country whose people has endured 34 years of dictatorship. The United Movement for Democratic Change is a sacred union of true democrats who have an unparalleled track record when it comes to being true servants of the people. It is a union of practicing democrats whose mission is to liberate Zimbabweans from 34 years of ZANU PF bondage and Dictatorship in any form and kind.
Fellow Zimbabweans every great party attracts both well-meaning revelers and party spoilers. In today's parlance the latter are called 'haters". As Zimbabwean democrats celebrated the rebirth of the Zimbabwean dream for freedom and true Democracy at Harare Sports Club yesterday a hopeless and politically dead cartel of 'haters' called MDC-T SA Province made a vain attempt to seek relevance by penning an unprovoked attack on the visionary leadership of MDC and MDC Renewal.
MDC-T's unprovoked attack which appeared in the Bulawayo24 ( MDC-T dismisses Ncube-Biti Union, Bulawayo24 News 27/11/14) cannot go unchallenged. The MDC-T SA Provincial Spokesperson, Mr Wangu Mazodze's dismissal of the MDC and MDC-Renewal leadership as ' brief case politicians" who have no following only saves to unmask him as pseudo-democrat who is alien to the reality of the people's hunger for true democracy in Zimbabwe.
If indeed this sacred union of democrats had no following then what were the thousands of Zimbabwean democrats who thronged the Harare Sports Club yesterday doing there? In which part of the universe do Mr Wangu Mazodze and his MDC-T party live?
Is Mr Wangu Mazodze such a political upstart that he is blind to the undeniable fact that the majority of Zimbabweans have abandoned his sinking MDC-T party thanks to the culture of dictatorship and bigotry that has been heightened by their recent constitutional amendments and chaotic congress? One would have expected him to first explain to Zimbabweans why his political party recently allowed its leader Morgan Tsvangirai to grab power and the ownership of the party from ordinary members, effectively pocketing an entire movement and turning the party into a carbon copy of Zanupf culture. Who doesn't know that the troubled and sinking MDC-T party is now Morgan Tsvangirai's private property? Who doesn't know that Morgan Tsvangirai has virtually become a Dictator in actions and on paper?
The relentless and unwarranted personal attacks of our progressive party leadership by the Tsvangirai owned MDC-T party only serves to expose them as another version of ZANU PF. Political plurality and tolerance clearly does not exist in their vocabulary.
That the ordinary people of Zimbabwe have always sought to determine their own destiny is clearly beyond Mr Wangu Mazodze and his politically irrelevant Tsvangirai owned MDC-T party's wildest imagination.
Thus said, it cannot be over emphasised that the United Movement for Democratic Change was a product of our respective parties' vigilant and progressive leadership who saw the need to recreate the undisputed vanguard of Zimbabwe's long walk to true democracy. The unwarranted and unprovoked verbal vitriol from political dinosaurs who have all of a sudden found out that their outmoded political ideas have no place in the age of the democratisation of Zimbabwe will not be tolerated.
We accordingly call upon the people of Zimbabwe to ignore misguided political misfits like the Morgan Tsvangirai owned MDC-T party and remain focused on their march towards a free and democratic state of Zimbabwe.
Lastly let us be minded that what lies ahead of us as Zimbabweans is a historic struggle for democracy, a struggle for true freedom. The signing of the Re-Unification Agreement by our leaders at Harare Sports Club yesterday was therefore not only a recreation of the original vision of the mass-driven political movement of 1999 but also a giant leap forward in our long running struggle to democracy. As Morgan Tsvangirai and his clueless followers continue to expose themselves to Zimbabweans the United MDC and MDC Renewal continues to grow in leaps and bounds
The courage to act differently!
