Prof Moyo's senseless savagery attacks on Dabengwa uncalled for

The senseless savagery attacks on Dr Dumiso Dabengwa - the ZAPU President by Mr Jonathan Moyo cannot go unchallenged. First it has to be noted that Moyo's attack on Dr Dabengwa is baseless, empty and full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

Mr Moyo is probably confusing shouting with being wise, factual and sensible, if this was the case then Mugabe would win the trophy.

Dr Dabengwa calmly exposed Mr Mphoko's liberation credentials including Mr Mphoko's CIO involvement.  That was done respectfully and with maximum dignity.

Now let us look at it objectively, when ZIPRA and ZANLA joined hands to form ZIPA and when the joint venture did not materialise, Mr Alfred Nikita Mangena withdrew his ZIPRA contingent which was based in Mozambique and where Mr Mphoko was based representing ZIPRA.  Upon the withdrawal of the ZIPRA forces Mr Mphoko refused to leave Mozambique. ZANLA forces were predominant in Mozambique. His refusal to obey his commander's orders made him to automatically operate outside the structures of ZIPRA and ZAPU. It is not clear when Mphoko joined ZANU but most likely this is the time when he jumped ship to join ZANU/ZANLA.

Let us move on to post independence era, Dr Dumiso Dabengwa was responsible for seconding ZIPRA and ZAPU cadres to the CIO department. Mr Mphoko did not join the CIO through ZAPU/ZIPRA channels. This on its own for all discerning and truth loving people reveals where Mphoko belonged at that time. That is with ZANLA or ZANU.

At that time Mr Mnangagwa was the Minister for State Security, and the CIO fell under his control. This means that Mugabe has decided to appoint his trusted CIOs into the second highest office on the land. These individuals are trusted by Mugabe because they were complicity in his genocide and other human rights violations. They will protect his interests.

Mr Moyo has no right to tell Dumiso Dabengwa about ZIPRA or ZAPU, it is public knowledge that Mr Moyo has always been a ZANU member; he was never a ZAPU/ZIPRA member. When he ran away to study in America he was a ZANU member and since then he has never joined any other Party besides ZANU.

What is of interest here is that Mr Moyo does not dispute the fact that Mphoko was a ZANU/ZANLA member, but he tries to defend the indefensible by stating that Mphoko never renounced his ZAPU membership. Ok, Mr Moyo, answer this question for me, has Mr Morgan Richard Mthandazo Tswangirayi renounced his ZANU PF membership? Where and When?

Dr Dabengwa cannot be compared to people like Mr Moyo, who can be easily be equated to paper tigers umlilo wamaphepha or udlawu.  Dr Dabengwa is calm, mature, and respects everyone regardless of their warped views.

Next time before you talk about Dr Dumiso Dabengwa Mr Moyo, you better be advised to spend four weeks on the mountain top fasting and praying for you are not his equal. Dr Dabengwa never abdicated his liberation responsibilities and he is not about to because light-weights like Mr Moyo say so.
