Young, Beautiful and Annointed: Zimbabwean girl transforming lives in Asia and Africa.
Meet 23 year old Natasha Tanaka Thomas, who hails from Katiyo in Zimbabwe, yes that's a real place...... in the remote villages of the Eastern Highlands. 23 year old Natasha who has just landed from India on another mission trip is one girl who needs to get more recognition considering the amount of humanitarian work and goodwill work she is doing in Asia and Africa. Natasha has been volunteering her time to raise awareness and money for the less privileged and personally visiting remote areas in Africa and Asia to implement change. I am simply a fan of this remarkable woman, i was first introduced to this young girl when she had just arrived from Malawi were she spent 6 weeks promoting women and children's rights after gaining an audience with certain members of parliament, who in return invited her to parliament in Lilongwe. Donating food, clothes and other belongings to the less privileged in Malawi. I was captivated after watching a video of her preaching and speaking to prisoners in Ntcheu Prison in Ntcheu Malawi which changed their lives please see her you tube channel, youtube.com/natashatanakathomas.
Her other interests lie in raising HIV/AIDS awareness and fighting for young people's rights. She advocates human rights issues boldly speaking against forced arranged marriages and female circumcision. Interesting enough Natasha preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ and spreads the love of her faith every were she helps people. With the recent spread of Christian missionaries being kidnapped, tortured and being killed for their faith, but understanding the pain poverty brings Natasha and a few friends spent two weeks touring the remotest parts of villages in India a journey that took them 30hours and 40mins to complete. Natasha and the team boldy and fearlessly preached the gospel and prayed for the people of India, a sacrifice that saw many people give their lives to Christ. Donations from various people saw the people of India receive 4 water wells at a staggering price of £500 each, each well benefitting villages of 500 people who would have walked for hours for water, medical camps in the remote areas were medical facilities are unavailable, food and nutrition and clothing just a few of the things donated. This is not one woman who just feels sorry for people and folds her hands she actually personally delivers all donations to their destination and humbles herself to stay in those harsh conditions till people's lives are changed. Her love has been spread in Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa and India with plans to launch an initiative plan for adults who are illiterate in Ghana and Nigeria. All that work at 23 absolutely amazing. Funnily enough I haven't even met Natasha, I watched her video on youtube, added Natasha Tanaka Thomas and saw her recent photos added in an album simply entitled India for Jesus Christ, if you are on facebook add her for yourself and be a witness of what a real role model looks like. Despite shying away from media presence she deserves to be knows. The first time she will be reading this article will be when she logs onto the website as well. Natasha you are definitely a deserving role model and ambassador making Zimbabwe proud, keep up the good work you are forever an inspiration.
