National Convergence Conference - Come One Come All

The National Convergence Process under the National Convergence Platform is taking shape, with national committees or thematic teams being formed in Zimbabwe and in the Diaspora.
Details will provided locally in but our team has tried to standardise the consultations into areas which will allow the widest discussion possible whole at the same time trying to come out with concrete outcomes.

To restate our aims: The aim of the NCP is to provide an inclusive non-political platform for a national dialogue to address the crisis facing the country and provide a national vision that will, in the shortest time, get Zimbabwe out of its current political and social crisis.

The crisis is manifesting as an economic crisis but there are deep rooted problems in our society which have been allowed to fester for too long, and which are now threatening to drag the country into failed-statehood.

The purpose of the planned workshops and conferences is to bring concerned Zimbabweans together to address the national crisis by generating workable interventions to mitigate the crisis.

The conference should produce a blueprint of sound social, political and economic positions to be taken by all stakeholders, including the state, and citizens to mitigate the crisis. We are urging all Zimbabweans to be involved in this Citizen Initiative wherever they are.

We have convened this in light of the seeming divergence of our citizens, leading to detachment of some citizens when we should actually be uniting to counter the seeming intractable political and economic crisis that is dragging our country down.
We are inviting all sectors of the Zimbabwean society locally and internationally to the ongoing planning, and to the workshops and conferences and we are inviting businessmen and entrepreneurs who can support us financially.

You can communicate with us through the email ncpconferenceuk@gmail.com, and at facebook, https://www.facebook.com/DiasporaNCP or just at National-Convergence Platform on face book.
We will try together with stakeholders - that includes all who would like to participate in this discourse through social media, the Press, and in the workshops - to narrow down and standardise the areas of discussion, but we invite you to come and have your say on political, governance and human development issues, all aimed at stemming the continued social decline of Zimbabwe.
