Miss Susan Ndlovu has launched her campaign to become ZAPU Europe Vice Chair. On the 30th April 2016 ZAPU would be holding its elective AGM in Leicester City.
"I am passionate about politics as a vehicle for meeting people's needs. I am a great and firm believer in people power in determining their own destinies when they are appropriately empowered" said Miss Susan Ndlovu, a graduate of Leeds University
A panel of ZAPU officials and members had a chance to put their questions to Ms Ndlovu. Ms Sipho Sibanda raised a very topical issue "Do you think there's a place for women in politics and why do you think women show little interest in politics?"
Ms Ndlovu directly answered the tricky question "Yes I believe there is a place for women in politics but more so in ZAPU, women should never be apologetic for wanting to lead political organisations and as women we should never beg from anyone or accept positions without merit" she continued, "in my opinion women took a back seat for too long and pushed men up and supported them a lot until we forgot that the struggle is ours as well, we unwittingly side-lined ourselves from politics and political issues. We are the ones who can change the status quo"
"If you are elected as a Vice Chairperson, how would you go about promoting and keeping the unity currently prevailing in the party?" Mr Bokani Vundla asked.
"As I stated in my manifesto statement, I do not do factional politics, therefore I can work with everybody, if ever the politics of disunity ever shows its ugly head again, I will be able to bring the different factions to work together for the good of the party"
Ms Ndlovu is clearly a visionary leader who will help bring prosperous times in ZAPU Europe, due to her ability to work with different people without prejudice.
