Mr Molife has an amazing political experience, his whole life has been characterised by political activism. "At the age of 22 in 1971, I became the ZAPU Youth Chairperson in the Midlands Region of Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) until 1976, after escaping House arrest in KweKwe for the extensive recruitments of youngsters to join our Armed Struggle en-route Botswana to Zambia, I fled the country to Britain and got involved in the Massive Mobilisation of Resources, Medical Kits, for our ZIPRA Fighters" Mr Molife opened his Manifesto presentation.
Mr Molife is contesting for the Chairmanship position against Ms Thembie Mpofu. This is promising to be a bruising and closely contested encounter, yet so democratic and open.
Mr Molife has an incredible litany of educational qualifications such as the Trades Union Studies (Middlesex Polytechnic), BA Hons. Degree in Public Administration and Management (University of Kent & Canterbury); Public Policy and Public Policy Law (North London University); Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (University then Leicester Polytechnic); MA in Diplomatic Studies (The Diplomatic Academy of London - University of Westminster).
Mr Molife's core goal is to raise the profile of ZAPU to become attractive to Local, National and International Donor Institutions, companies, well-wishers, sympathisers, friends and foes, and possibly friendly Governments.
"I will ensure that our PEC effectively Fundraises to help guarantee that ZAPU's Congress and the Official Diaspora Tour starting from the UK and Europe by our ZAPU President Dr Dumiso Dabengwa do take place to maximise the visibility of and confidence in ZAPU by both Zimbabweans and the International Community" read part of Mr Molife's Manifesto statement.
Mr Actwell Sibanda (NPC) put this direct question to Mr Molife "ZAPU has two conspicuous nightmares, funding its operations and growing the party register of members; can you briefly tell me how you will tackle these two?"
"Mr Sibanda, yes, the two factors you highlighted are the true major obstacles for ZAPU, I have a bit of insight and know-how in extensive search for ways and means of raising donor funds for the party" Mr Molife responded.
Mr Molife is clearly a charismatic and enterprising leader whose skills and extensive fundraising knowledge would be of great benefit to ZAPU.
