MLF Press Release on David Magagula and his cabal

It has come to our attention as the leadership of Mthwakazi Liberation Front, that Mr David Magagula has been announced by Mr Sibangani Ngwenya as their new MLF leader.

We have learnt that Mr David Magagula and three other counter revolutionaries, namely Sibangani Ngwenya, Desire Dube and a certain Mazinyane recently met unconstitutionally and illegally at which they resolved to nominate David Magagula as their new leader.

We wish to inform all MLF members and the public at large that such an announcement is highly misleading and therefore dismissed with the contempt it deserves.  These are actions of counter-revolutionaries bent on destroying the peoples' movement.

On the contrary, we wish to assure the entire MLF leadership and the public at large that the MLF Leadership remains intact.  We request patience from both MLF supporters and the public at large as we navigate through the chaos engineered by Magagula and his counter-revolutionaries. The soul of MLF shall survive this turbulence.

Furthermore, we would like to reiterate that the MLF leadership will never allow anyone, be it sponsored renegades or otherwise to hijack the name, logo, objectives, philosophy, written documents and other material belonging to the MLF.

The MLF is a patented brand and entity that can never be hijacked by anyone in whatever guise. In the event that any attempt is made by anybody to hijack MLF, the MLF leadership stand guard to defend Brand Mthwakazi Liberation Front by all means necessary, including through the Courts of Law.

We have invested a great deal in the MLF to let it be hijacked by anyone under any pretext. The resources that we have put into this organisation, the MLF, both in monetary and philosophical terms are immeasurable. We will not allow anybody under any guise to hijack and destabilise the peoples' movement.

It is important to emphasise that in the past we have parted ways with those who wanted to chart a different path away from the philosophical and constitutional principles of the MLF.

Magagula and his four counter-revolutionaries have every right to chart a different path from the philosophical and constitutional principles of the MLF, but have no right whatsoever, under any guise or pretext to seek to hijack the MLF. We will not allow that to happen. We stand ready to defend the peoples' movement.
