Man caught in the act stealing from a delivery truck at Pick N Pay Supermarket

A man from Nguboyenja in Bulawayo is in trouble after he was caught red-handed stealing from a delivery truck parked at the Pick N Pay offloading bay.

Nkululeko Lubimbi (34) was not asked to plead to the theft charge when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya. The magistrate remanded him to November 29.

The court heard that on November 14 the complainant Francis Nyemba (42) employed by Payloads Transport in Willowvale Harare parked his delivery truck at Pick N Pay Hypermarket along Fort Street and slept in the vehicle. He was awaken by the noise made by the accused while stealing the goods in the truck.

When Lubimbi saw Nyemba he allegedly dropped the 11 by 2litres cooking oil he had stolen. Nyemba chased and caught him before handing him over to the police.

The cooking oil worth $34 was recovered.
