Veteran journalist buried

ZIMBABWE Broadcasting Corporation current affairs editor Freedom Moyo, who died on Tuesday after a horrific car accident in Harare, was buried today at Habane in Esigodini.
Moyo (37) known as "Mafree" in the media fraternity was laid to rest in a funeral attended by thousands of people including politicians, journalists, academics and members of the community.
Politicians that were present during the burial of the veteran journalist included â€" Mines, Minerals and Development minister Obert Mpofu, Deputy Minister of Public Service Andrew Langa, MDC's Bulawayo Spokesperson Edwin Ndlovu, top cop Erasmus Makodza, service chiefs, traditional leaders and the clergy.
Speaker after speaker described Moyo as a hard working patriotic and professional journalist whose services will be dearly missed by the nation.
