Foreign Affairs Secretary of Mthwakazi Republic Party Ackim Gasela Mahlangu have said Matabeleland must demand special treatment from the Southern African bloc.
He said MRP is calling for all Regional and Mthwakazi National Parties and all organizations with Matabeleland and Midlands at heart to join hands for a block and make specific demands ahead of 2018 Elections and defend Political space that has in the last three decades captured by the Hararians.
"The nature has in the past kept on leading us, Munyathi river has begun to speak out on the need to separate these two nations that were illegally joined together by the British in 1923. The nature that is behind non-unity between water and oil is still the nature that is causing disunity between the Shona and Ndebele speakers in MDC-T, NPP and the current happenings in PDP. Nature explains it all well, water and oil can't be mixed, not even for a second," he said.
"Mthwakazi Republic Party is therefore proposing a Regional block that will contest the council and Parliamentary Elections in 2018 Elections. If there is anything for now Mthwakazi nation shouldn't be worried about is the issue of Presidential position, we are sure and certain that we will definitely have our President in a Democratic Republic of Mthwakazi. No Shona led Parties must represent us in Parliament at this time before our independence that is already knocking on our doorstep."
He said MRP is calling all the sons and daughters of Matabeleland who have in the past been naturally rejected by the maShona led Parties to take this opportunity and build Matabeleland block and demand a special treatment "because we are special". Mashonaland needs us not the other way round.
