Mthwakazi Republic Party is currently planning to hold at least a minimum of 35 rallies by this year end. The party said they started their campaigns in June this year and so far we have covered more than half of Matabeleland constituencies.
"And we are now targeting Midlands province. The Insiza North constituency where Team MRP will be pricisely Silalatshani business centre, this weekend has been witnessing political violance since 1980, and we are hoping that this time around there wont be any disturbances, because the last time Zanu PF tried to stop an MDC rally there, there was a serious fight and we don't encourage that as a party though we stand ready to defend ourselves when provoked. We are hoping that Zanu wont try to disturb our meeting that has been properly cleared by ZRP," said the party..
"The meeting is set to start with a soccer tournament involving four local soccer teams at 08:30am and will end at 16:00pm. On the 14th of October 2017 which is this coming Saturday, come lets meet in Silalatshani Mthwakazi Omuhle."
"We have been receiving reports from Villagers complaining about the recruitment of non-Ndebele speaking teachers in the district to the extent that there are now schools which only teaches Shona in Insiza, Villagers are not happy with that. People are not happy with that considering the fact that more Shona teachers are being brought to the district daily, most civil servants there in Insiza are Shona including Agritex extension officers. Said a villager," said the party.
MRP said it is aware of the problems facing Filabusi they know the fact that people of Mashonaland have almost taken over there because of the mining activities there.
"We are aware of the tribalism and nepotism happening there where government officials in the Ministry of mines only give gold mining claims to Shona people. On the other hand the Zimbabwe Republic Police have a tendency of arresting locals for being illegal gold panners while protecting Shona people in the area doing the same thing," said MRP.
"We just hope that people will realise their mistake of either boycotting elections or voting ZANU PF candidates. We encourage all our people to register and Vote Team MRP the process is currently underway just take your National Identity document and a proof of residence, or go and fill an affidavit at your nearest ZEC centre. Sisonke Sizokulungisa bantu bakithi."
They said giving up on voting or staying away is not a good option and must never even be considered.
"The only way of defending our territory is through self-determination which is why we should be in charge of all our council and Parliamentary seats. Team MRP is on a Nation wide tour led by its President Mqondisi Moyo. ON the 18th and 19th of October we have a strategic planning meeting in Bulawayo after that we are going to Tsholotsho, Lupane, then Plumtree, followed by Matobo North, Midlands, as well as Hwange and Victoria Falls," said the party..
