The anti-riot police blocked Ibhetshu likaZulu from holding a memorial service at Bhalagwe camp in Kezi Matabeleland South.
The police mounted a road block at the Bhalagwe turn off. Zapu leader and Zpra intelligence supremo Dumiso Dabengwa was among the delegates expected to grace the occasion when the police blocked the entourage.
The pressure group had written a letter to the police notifying them about the event but could not get a clear response and intended to go ahead with the prayer meeting as planned.
