22 Oct 2017 at 09:01hrs | Views
Mthwakazi Republic Party President Mqondisi Moyo led some NEC and Matabeleland South provincial executive members to a campaign in his constituency giving villagers party fliers.
Moyo told villagers there that MRP is there to protect, preserve and promote the interests of the people of Mthwakazi.
While Moyo was in Matobo North, the party's Vice President Ms Presia Ngulube led the youths in Bulawayo on a serious campaign, where they distributed fliers and spoke to many Mthwakazi people. The party is growing on a daily basis and people in rural areas are ready for the party though ZEC outreach hasnt reached many rural Matabeleland.
"We are not happy though with the registration process in Bulawayo which we believe is caused by the ZEC's insistence on proof of residence. We believe that the National Identification document should be enough proof, since the process is done electronically it is enough to prove you are already registered. It is public knowledge that most house owners and their tenants dont a have a good relationship, besides some landlords are either in rural areas or in diaspora and they dont appreciate giving their tenants such proof infact they are hostile," said the party.
"What the government is saying is that street kinds and those in squatter camps like Ngozi mine and in Killarney are not eligible to vote, is the government saying such people don't have a right to vote? In any case where do you expect an 18 year old youth to get proof of residence from? Yibumbulu bonobo."
Team MRP engaged in a successful flyer distribution and registration awareness campaign in the CBD of Bulawayo lead by the Vice President Presia Ngulube. People of Bulawayo immediately scrambled for flyers and left no space to set foot as they gathered and squeezed around the Mobilising Team to hear more good news of Mthwakazi RESTORATION.
The team interacted with young and old people all coming to the now popular conclusion of Restoration in every heart of Mthwakazi people. More time to discuss these issues was asked for, by many .People of Bulawayo had a change of Heart after discussing the neccesity of Registering to vote with MRP and with each other.
Most of them instantly went to register after talking with Mthwakazi Republic Party and shouted my vote is with M.R.P as they stepped outside the polling stations. A particiular case of intrest was observed by many during the program when what started as a mini Forum of engagement and discussions escalated into a Rally in front of the Tredgold Court because Mthwakazi people have carried so much pain .so much anger .so more fear .so much hate .so many questions for too long .
Long enough not to hold back a word when such opportunities are presented to them. Abantu bakhalele to spend more time with MRP and even gave us their phone numbers and constituencies where they come from, saying please siyacela ukuthi lisivakatshele kuma ward esihlala khona ngoba kunengi osokuwonakele .
