San people's life suppressed by other tribes

Tsoro-tso-oo Development Trust director Davy Ndlovu has said his survey in Tsholotsho san community has established that most of them are living a suppressed life because of the interference of other tribes' cultures.
"I went to visit one of my favorite elders, Ndliso 'Samakantana' Sibanda. Apparently, Ndliso is not comfortable in taking part in the Bio Metric Voter registration currently underway. Ndliso is alone wolf and does things his way. Ndliso has been calling for the establishment of a ward/village far San people alone," Ndlovu said.
"His reasoning is that, since the arrival of the Ndebele people in their area, things have changed for the San and in the process the San have lost their cultural value systems including the language. Ndliso is worried that in Zimbabwe there places like Plumtree for the baKalanga people, Binga for the Tonga people, Jambesi for the Nambya people and there is no place for the San where they can practice their culture without interference. "
He said Ndliso refuses to live any other life besides of his grandfathers.
"None of his children got to school as fear that his children will be taught foreign cultures and he is not even keen on participating in any voter registration," he said.
