Bulilima Rural District Council employees cry foul

The Bulilima Rural District Council Chief Executive Officer John Brown Ncube is alleged to have been advancing himself on salary, airtime and newspaper allowances up to December 2017.
On a contrary BRDC has not been paying workers since February 2017 when they were paid partial salaries and have a salary backlog that stands at nine and half months.
According to a source who did not want his name published for fear of victimization said the CEO creates unnecessary trips to both within and outside the district so that he claims traveling and subsistence allowances.
The source also said Ncube catapulted the suspension of the district auditor Israel Moyo who quizzed him about misappropriation of funds and misuse of council resources.The BRDC has gone for over 24 months without an auditor.
Workers have on numerous occasions tried to engage the Council Chairperson a M P Ndebele to intervene in their salary dispute but is said to be reluctant as he is also benefiting from the situation at the council.
Attached is a letter of grievances addressed to the District Administrator Bulilima District.
