Dog rescues owner from leopard attack

AN alert dog saved its master who came under a vicious leopard attack from death after it fought off the leopard.
Sibhekile Sibanda aged 36 from West Nicholson survived the attack Sunday evening while rounding up his cattle.
Matabeleland South police spokesperson Loveness Mangena said Sibanda set out around 5pm with his dog to look for his cattle.
While he was about 200 meters close to the heard, a leopard burst from the bush and wrestled with Sibanda.
However, the dog braved the leopard and joined in leading to the leopard letting go of Sibanda.
Mangena said after briefly recovering, Sibanda of grabbed a knobkerrie and struck the leopard on its forehead.
Sibanda, of Mashura Ranch is said to be recovering at Gwanda provincial Hospital.
