A Zimbabwean woman has appealed to Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa claiming her brother was severely beaten by soldiers and police are refusing to assist.

Chipo Tsitsi Mlambo took to the micro-blogging site, twitter requesting Mnangagwa to "help us."

"Mr @edmnangagwa, 2 nights ago my brother was assaulted by 4 soldiers in beitbridge n left for dead for allegedly not having all travel docs," Mlambo wrote to Mnangagwa on twitter tagging his official account @edmnangagwa.

Mlambo added saying police in Beitbridge have not been helpful as they fear the army.
"Beitbridge police post are refusing to take statement as they say they are outranked. What remedies do we have," she inquired.

Members of the Zimbabwe National Army have been wreaking havoc, beating civilians in communities since November 15 2017 when they carried operation restore legacy.

During operation restore legacy, the army took over policing duties including the Zimbabwe Republic Police Armory Unit in what was considered as a sign of sour relations between the two security units.
