Gwanda Octogenarian nabbed for stealing 72 cattle

An octogenarian man from Gwanda teamed up with his 14 year old son and three villagers and stole 72 herd of cattle in Beitbridge.
The 80-year-old man was on Wednesday dragged to a Beitbridge court charged with stock theft and remained in custody to May 28 by magistrate Gwineth Drawo.
In court the frail looking man said he was being framed.
The prosecutor, Jabulani Mberesi said on March 1, the man teamed up with his son and Polite Ndlovu, Witness Moyo and Tshengu Moyo who are still to be arrested.
They proceeded to Dodieburn Ranch and spotted a grazing herd of cattle.
They drove the beasts to their homesteads at Ngoma.
Acting on tip off, anti stock theft police squad raided the homestead and arrested the two and recovered the herd of cattle.
