MDC President Welshman Ncube on Friday  told his supporters in Tsholotsho that if his rival President  Mugabe was was  being "kept in good" health by a team of Asian doctors he would be using a walking stick to support his balance.

Mugabe is reportedly not to be in good health as he frequently travels to the Far East for specialised treatment.

He is suspected of having cancer.

Said Ncube "Mugabe is very old, aging towards 90 but he says he is fit to run this country. But we know that he Asian doctors are working tirelessly to keep him in good health.

"At his age he should  be using a walking stick. He sleeps in meetings but he continues to say" am fit to rule this country for another five years, please vote for me."

In  April in Bulawayo, Mugabe was spotted stumbling and nearly falling but  swift reaction by Zambian leader Micheal Sata saved what could have been an embarrassing situation.

Turning to elections, Ncube said "several" aspiring presidential candidates have thrown their hats into the ring to lead the country.

But he said "running Zimbabwe is not a child's play."

" It needs intelligent, loyal and trustworthy people, people who will always listen to the people."
