The ongoing five-day Africa Travel Association congress temporarily came to a halt here when a Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa look alike stepped on the scene. Local delegates could not help but mob one Omphile Marupi who has striking resemblance with the revered prophet and socialite.
Marupi, who was clad in black suit, said it was NOT the first time that people have linked him to Prophet Makandiwa.
"This is not the first time that people have mistook me for Makandiwa. I am now used to it. In Bulawayo where I stay, I have seen several people staring at me and calling me Makandiwa," said Marupi.
He was part of the local media who are covering the congress. Meanwhile, Vice President Joice Mujuru officially opened the ATA congress on Saturday. A record figure of 615 delegates including tourism ministers from seventeen countries graced the event and have tabled key tourism subjects for discussion.
