Man living in pain with a 10cm stick stuck up his bum

A Plumtree man, Martin Mlalazi, 58, is reportedly living in pain with a 10cm stick stuck up his anus after a traditional healer's diagnosis, the NewZimbabwe.com reported.
Mlalazi, from the Thokwana area of Plumtree, was admitted to the United Bulawayo Hospitals in excruciating pain in January after inserting wheel bearings just above his elbows.
The bearings interrupted blood flow, caused swelling to his arms and dug into his flesh.
Now Mlalazi has revealed he is being tormented by a 10cm stick which he inserted up his anus at the same time as the bearings, on the recommendations of a self-styled traditional healer.
Mlalazi said on Thursday: "The traditional healer prescribed me to insert two bearings in each arm, and a stick in the anus.
"I smeared soap on the hands, inserted bearings up to the tricep level and a stick in the buttocks.
"I'm in terrible pain especially when I try to relieve myself I feel as if that stick is prickling me inside."
Mlalazi still declines to discuss the nature of the ailment he was suffering at the time he consulted the healer.
As his arms swelled, Mlalazi resisted his family's pleas to see doctors until he was finally taken to Plumtree District Hospital on the verge of death.
Doctors told him if he had delayed by a few days, he could have died or they would have been forced to amputate his arms.
The hospital called in specialist engineers from the Bulawayo City Council and the Fire Brigade who painstakingly used grinders to cut the bearings which are made from high speed steel which is known for its toughness and abrasion resistance.
Mlalazi was later released from hospital, but his family says he did not disclose to doctors that he had a stick up his anus.
Now they are begging him to seek help.
His mother said: "He does not want to talk about the matter with anyone, and spends most of the time lying down."
