In a shell-shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl from Kwekwe has confessed to practicing witchcraft and eating human flesh while at the same time being sexually abused by snakes, goblins and human like creatures that belonged to a syndicate of witches from Gokwe.
Acting Midlands Police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident which occurred last week in Rutendo high density suburb in Redcliff Town.
Ass Insp Mahoko said the 12-year-old girl (name withheld) also confessed to opening graves and obtaining human flesh and blood which would be used for ritual purposes. He said the girl made the stunning revelations after she was spotted with what looked like fresh human blood on her hands by a good Samaritan who had taken her into his custody.
"One morning, the good Samaritan discovered the girl with fresh human blood stains on her hands. The girl failed to explain how she got the blood. After some interrogation the girl told the owner of the house that her witchcraft escapades started while she was still staying with her maternal grandparents in Gokwe.
"The girl alleged that she was being visited by snakes that would lick her private parts and all over the body during the night while sometimes she would be sexually abused by goblins and human like creatures that she could not identify," he said.
Ass Insp Mahoko disclosed that at one time the girl fled from her grandparents' home and moved to Kwekwe to stay with her father.
"The girl was hoping to start a new life with her father in Kwekwe but after staying with him for only a week she was allegedly incorporated into another witchcraft syndicate," he said.
Ass Insp Mahoko said out of desperation, the girl escaped from her father's house in an attempt to run away from these horrific experiences which had turned her life into a living nightmare. He said the girl got relieved after a good Samaritan from the same neighbourhood accommodated her.
"The girl continued to be haunted by the witches forcing her to join them before she was caught with fresh human blood in her hands," he said.
Ass Insp Mahoko added that after the girl narrated her heart rending experiences to the owner of the house, she was taken to an apostolic sect church for exorcism which however, could not be conducted after the girl escaped and disappeared. Ass Insp Mahoko said up to now, the whereabouts of the girl are still not known. He said police suspect that the girl moved to stay in the streets of Kwekwe.
"We appeal to members of the public to do everything in their power to assist young children who are in need of care and assistance," Ass Insp Mahoko said.
