ROBBERS reportedly used dynamite to blow up a cash safe at Madlambuzi High School in Bulilima district last Wednesday and made off with $3 774 and R25 097.
Matabeleland South acting provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Christopher Ngwenya said no suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident.
"The suspects blew the door of the safe and made off with the money. Investigations are still underway, so I cannot give much on the matter as that would jeopardise efforts to nab the criminals,'' he said.
"We are, therefore, appealing to members of the public with information that may lead to the arrest of the criminals who committed the robbery to assist the police with details."
Matabeleland South provincial education director Tumisang Thabela said: "We just received a verbal report that there was a burglary at the school, but we are yet to receive a written report, so we do not have the full details of the matter."
