President Robert Mugabe has dispatched four tractors to assist communal farmers in Tsholotsho in an effort to boost agricultural production in the district.
The President dispatched the tractors under the Farm Mechanisation Programme to cushion the farmers who lost hundreds of cattle to drought which affected most parts of the country.
Speaking at a Zanu-PF rally held at Nshaba Business Centre in Tsholotsho South constituency, Umguza Member of the House of Assembly, Dr Obert Mpofu said the programme is a confirmation that President Mugabe is a leader who is concerned about the welfare of the people.
Dr Mpofu urged party leaders to shun violence, campaign peacefully and work together to speed up development in the country.
Zanu-PF Deputy Secretary for Information and Publicity Cain Mathema urged people to vote for Zanu-PF during the forthcoming harmonised elections, claiming it is the only party that is working to bring economic empowerment to the black majority.
