Teenager (19) fatally stabs 17-year-old bully at the borehole

A Gwanda MAN from Ngoma village under Chief Marupi has been arrested for fatally stabbing a 17-year-old juvenile accusing him of bullying his younger brother at a local borehole while they were playing on Sunday afternoon.
Matabeleland South Police spokesperson Inspector Philisani Ndebele yesterday confirmed the death of Zenzo Ncube from a stab wound and identified the suspect as Austin Ncube (19) from Ngoma area, Gwanda.
"On the fateful day, Zenzo was looking for donkeys in the company of Honest Siziba (14). They arrived at a borehole where they found Austin drinking water in the company of his younger brother Nkosiyalinda Ngwenya (11). Zenzo started playing with Nkosiyalinda dragging him to the ground," Ndebele said.
Insp Ndebele said the 11-year-old boy started crying, prompting Austin to intervene.
Austin allegedly attacked Zenzo from behind and stabbed him in the neck using an okapi knife.
"Zenzo sustained a deep cut on the neck. Honest tried to carry him for about 500 metres before he died due to excessive bleeding," Inspector Ndebele said. A report was made to the police at Zezane Police Station, leading to Austin's arrest. A knife was recovered from him.
