Man rapes granny (88) at axe point

A Fort Rixon man is on the run after he allegedly broke into the home of his 88-year-old neighbour and reportedly raped her, police said.
The incident happened on Monday at about 3am. Police identified the suspect as Thulani Ndlovu whose age was not given, but resides at his own homestead in Riverstone in Fort Rixon.
Matabeleland South provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Christopher Ngwenya said in the early hours of last Monday, Ndlovu went to the complainant's homestead amnd found her sleeping alone in her bedroom.
Ndlovu then forced open the door using an axe and raped the complainant once at axe point before disappearing under the cover of darkness.
The matter was reported to police who have since launched a manhunt for Ndlovu.
