Demonic spirit demands 55 litres of human blood

Parents with children attending Maboleni Secondary school in Lower Gweru held a meeting with the school headmaster following reports of hysteria that allegedly affected pupils at the school.
Sources at the school said the children under attack would shout the name of the school head, Mr Ernest Sibindi. They said some of the parents were contemplating withdrawing their children from the school following the incident.
In an interview on Thursday, one of the parents whose child was allegedly affected, confirmed the incident. The parent who requested anonymity said her daughter suffered hysteria attacks on Monday last week.
"We are now worried as parents because of this development. I have since withdrawn my daughter from the school, out of fear of more similar attacks. There are also many other parents who are thinking of taking their children out of this school. My daughter is a Form Three pupil and she was attacked last Monday. We were called to the school by one of the teachers. I was shocked to find my daughter in a state of hysteria, screaming and calling the name of school head, Mr Sibindi," narrated the parent.
The woman said she prayed for her daughter for about 15 minutes and she began to utter awkward things. She said her daughter started demanding human blood!
"The demonic spirit in my daughter then started demanding human blood. The spirit said it was not going to stop tormenting the pupils at the school until it got 55 litres of human blood. It said the blood was needed by its master. However, after another prayer the demonic spirit stopped talking," said the parent.
Mr Tatenda Gumbo from Maboleni community said they agreed to hold yet another meeting. He said they have agreed to invite the police and local chiefs of the area to resolve the issue.
"At the last meeting we held on Wednesday, we agreed to have another meeting and also invite the police and the chiefs to help us maintain peace as a number of parents want to beat up the school head," said Mr Gumbo.
The school head, Mr Sibindi, declined to comment on the issue when contacted for a comment.
"I will not say anything on the issue. You may refer all your questions to the provincial education director's office," said the headmaster.
The Midlands provincial education director, Mrs Agnes Gudo confirmed getting reports of the issue. She, however, declined to comment further as the matter was was 'too confidential'.
"I can confirm that my office received a full report on this issue. I cannot, however, comment as the matter is highly confidential," she said.
