Man kills self after fighting with wife

A 48-year-old man from Binga committed suicide following a misunderstanding with his 23-year-old wife.
Matabeleland North provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Billie Dube confirmed the incident and said it occurred on 3 March at about 10am in Lusulu.
"Innocent Tshuma (48) had a misunderstanding with his 23-year-old wife, Noster Ncube, which resulted in her fleeing to her aunt's homestead," said Insp Dube.
He said Tshuma followed his wife in a bid to reconcile with her but the aunt refused to allow her niece to return to the matrimonial home.
"Tshuma was later found by his daughter hanging in a hut with a wire around his neck," said Insp Dube.
A report was made to Lusulu Police Station which attended the scene. Insp Dube said people should engage a third party to assist in resolving disputes instead of resorting to violence or committing suicide. He further said no foul play was suspected in the incident and a post mortem was waived by Binga magistrate, Mrs Stephen Ndlovu.
