Roselyn Nkomo, wife to Water Resources Development and Management Samuel Sipepa Nkomo will most likely contest Jonathan Moyo (Zanu-PF) in Tsholotsho North after coming victorious in the MDC-T primary election.

MDC-T's primary elections in Matabeleland North saw two sitting MP failing to make it past the confirmation stage.

MDC-T Matabeleland North chairperson Sengezo Tshabangu said Binga North MP Patrick Sibanda and Hwange East parliamentary representative Gift Mabhena were not confirmed in yesterday's internal polls and will go to the primaries expected in three weeks.

He said Enoch Masuku outwitted Noel Bahana in Umguza constituency and will represent his party as MP candidate in the forthcoming harmonised elections.

MDC-T's Tshanbanu said they expect Enock Masuku a former policeman to pip Zanu-PF MP hopeful Obert Mpofu who is also the Minister of Mines and Mining Development because Masuku is also prominent in that area.

In Bubi constituency, Lameck Ndlovu beat Lucky Sibanda and Fiso Sibanda to be the party candidate for Nkayi North. Abednicho Bhebhe was unchallenged in Nkayi South.

Njabuliso Mguni was unchallenged in Lupane East while primaries for Lupane West have not been concluded.

Joel Gabuza Gabuzza was confirmed in Binga South while Sansole Stole went in unchallenged as Hwange East constituency MP candidate and Brian Tshuma was confirmed to be MP candidate for Hwange Central.
