WANTED:- Headmaster on the run after suspected fraud

POLICE in Matabeleland North are looking for Mahlothova Secondary School headmaster in connection with a case of fraud.

The headmaster identified as Daniso Ncube reportedly disappeared with the school's laptop, $342, receipt and cash book and the headmaster's stamp.

In a statement yesterday, Matabeleland North police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Siphiwe Makonese said the headmaster of the school, which is in Umguza district was last seen in March.

"The police are looking for Mahlothova Secondary School headmaster, Daniso Ncube who disappeared with the school's laptop, $342, receipt and cashbook and the headmaster's stamp. He was last seen on 11 March intending to go for sports at John Tallach High School," said Asst Insp Makonese.

She said police's efforts to locate Ncube have proved futile.

"The matter was reported by the school authorities to the police on 5 April and until to date efforts to locate Ncube have been futile. His identity card number is 08-521 624 J08 and his last home address was 74 Mhlophe Flats in Mzilikazi, Bulawayo," said Asst Insp Makonese.

She appealed to members of the public who could have information leading to the whereabouts of Ncube to contact their nearest police station.

"Anyone with information can contact their nearest police station or call Matabeleland North Police Press and Liaison Office on (081) 32739.

Alternatively, they can deposit the information into a police suggestion box if they wish to remain anonymous," said Asst Insp Makonese.
