Vice President Joice Mujuru has urged local celebrities to continue spreading the good word about Victoria Falls as a safe tourist destination through the social media to increase tourists' arrivals.
Speaking at the UNWTO Invitational Golf Tournament Prize Giving Ceremony in Victoria Falls on Friday, Vice President Mujuru paid tribute to the celebrities for marketing Victoria Falls as a safe tourist destination.
She also applauded the private sector for changing the face of the town through expansion and refurbishment of facilities despite economic challenges facing the country.
The Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Engineer Walter Mzembi expressed gratitude to relevant sectors for showing commitment in the refurbishment of infrastructure in the town ahead of the General Assembly.
The prize for the best gold team was taken by Charles Samuriwo and Diamond Jackson.
Jackson went further to clinch another prize for being the best individual golfer in the tournament.
