Thief captured on CCTV, convicted

A Gwanda man who stole sandals worth $4 at a local shop's parcel counter was sold out by a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).

Mduduzi Dube (30) of DDF Training Centre in Gwanda Town on Wednesday appeared before Gwanda magistrate Mr Arafat Kozanai facing a charge of theft.

He was convicted on his own plea and sentenced to three months in prison which was wholly suspended for five years on condition of good behaviour.
