Khaya Moyo, Zimbabwe's VP in waiting

FORMER ambassador to South Africa and Zanu-PF chairman, Simon Khaya-Moyo has been tipped to be Zimbabwe's second Vice President.
Khaya-Moyo was recently appointed Senior Minister without Portfolio by President Robert Mugabe.
"It's confirmation that come Zanu-PF Congress, the man will be elevated to be Zimbabwe's second Vice President,", said an analyst who requested anonymity.
"The only reason Mugabe has not officially given him the title of VP is that according to the Zanu-PF Constitution, the Vice President is an elective post and one is elected by Congress," he continued.
Constitutional experts claim that if Mugabe had appointed anyone to the national Vice Presidency without a Congress, he would have been violating his party's supreme law and second-guessing Congress.
The position of second VP has been vacant since the death of John Nkomo.
