Man arrested for possessing a goblin

A 24 year old man was arrested by police in Gweru at a road block after being found in possession of what is believed to be a goblin.
Traffic came to a stand still at a road block site 10 kilometres outside Gweru along the Kwekwe highway with scores of people jostling to catch a glimpse of what was believed to be a goblin.
Police manning a roadblock intercepted a 24 year old man identified as Honest Mafa who had the scary creature in his satchel.
The man who said he lived in Harare's Budiriro suburbs claimed he was a prophet belonging to the Chitenderano Apostolic Church in Africa.
Mafa failed to give police satisfactory answers on why he was in Gweru forcing the police to search his satchel leading to the discovery of the alleged goblin.
The 24 year old told the ZBC News that the goblin was not his, but belonged to a family in Shurugwi which he had assisted in exorcising it.
He said he was taking the goblin to Harare where he wanted to burn the goblin on a mountain as directed by the Holy Spirit.
Those who witnessed the story unfold on the highway said the self-styled prophet was exposed by the police who were searching all vehicles that passed through the security road block.
Mafa was taken to Gweru central police station for further questioning, but before he was whisked away he brandished a certificate of practice insisting he was a genuine prophet.
Midlands's police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said although the accused is in custody, charges against him are yet to be pressed.
ZBC could not ascertain the authenticity of Mafa's claims that he had got the alleged goblin from a Shurugwi family as he failed to give details.
Cases of alleged witchcraft acts have been in the limelight, especially in the Midlands.
A few days ago two elderly women caused chaos at Chief Mkoba's court in Lower Gweru trading accusations of witchcraft.
