Man caught indecently assaulting neighbour's daughter

A Bulawayo regional magistrate yesterday heard that a man employed as a general hand at a mine situated on the outskirts of Bulawayo was caught red-handed while indecently assaulting his workmate's daughter.
Magistrate Trynos Utahwashe heard how between August and October, Antony Majaya, 34, of How Mine would, under the cover of darkness, tiptoe to his workmate's house in the mine compound.
He would then sneak into the spare bedroom and indecently assault the victim on several occasions.
Prosecuting, Robin Mukura narrated how Majaya would, during that period, creep into the nine-year-old girl's blankets and indecently assaulting her by thrusting his fingers into her private parts before ejaculating on her thighs.
"Between August and October, Antony Majaya would sneak into the complainant's blankets and waking her up before inserting his fingers into her private parts and ej*culating on her thighs," said Mukura.
The court heard that Majaya ran out of luck when he was caught red-handed by the victim's aunt.
The girl revealed to her aunt what had transpired during the period in question. A report was made to the police leading to the arrest of Majaya.
Utahwashe convicted Majaya on his own plea of guilty to charges of aggravated indecent assault sentencing him to 10 years in jail.
Majaya will however, serve an effective six years in prison after the magistrate suspended four years on condition that he does not within the same period commit a similar offence.
