51 year old Gwanda man rapes 9 year old child

A 51 year old man from Garikai Township of Gwanda Collin Ncube today stood trial for raping a 9 year old girl from the same township.
It is the state case that sometime between October and December last year Ncube lued the unsuspecting girl from her home to his house and raped her. Ncube then threatened the little girl with an unspecified action if she told anyone of the act.
To get the girl quite Ncube is said to have given the little girl a pack of Amacimbi valued at $1, R5 worth of vegetables and a tomato.
In his extremely week defence Ncube denied raping the little girl saying he only gave the child the foodstaff as her family had no food. He denied bringing the girl to his home but claims the girl was sent to his house to collect a $5 debt owed to the child's auntie.
The prosecutor concluded by declaring to the accused that Ncube had indeed raped the child.
Ncube was released from prison in 2011 after serving 8 years for another rape offence. Ncube will return to court on friday 31 January for judgement and sentence.
