MDC-T's Matabeleland South youth treasurer Mpilo Moyo died last Thursday in Bulawayo after a long illness.
He was 32.
MDC-T youth chairman for Bulilima East Trymore Mpofu said Moyo was buried in Kezi yesterday.
Mpofu expressed shock over the death of his colleague whom he described as trustworthy and hardworking.
"I was shocked to learn of the death of Mpilo Moyo who was a pillar of strength in the youth assembly," he said.
"I can tell you that he was always standing for truth the same way like our late youth information officer Buletsi Nyathi who died in December last year."
Mpofu said Moyo was a dedicated cadré who was against those who abused the party's resources.
Moyo was elected youth provincial treasurer at a congress held in 2011 at the White City Stadium in Bulawayo.
