A Plumtree inyanga was involved in a public brawl with a barman after the barman bragged about having illicit sexual liaisons with his wife, the court heard.
The inyanga, Sebenzile Ncube (27) appeared before Plumtree magistrate Livard Philimoni.
The fight erupted when Ian Moyo (21) approached Ncube while at Kwite Business Centre and told him that his wife was a prostitute.
He went on to tell him that he was one of the men who was having sex with her.
A misunderstanding ensued between the two and they engaged in a fist fight. They sustained injuries in the process and were referred to hospital for treatment.
Moyo and Ncube were convicted on their own plea of guilty when they appeared before Plumtree magistrate, Livard Philimoni. They were each fined $20 or four days imprisonment in case of default.
Prosecuting, Paul Mpofu narrated how Moyo picked up a fight with Ncube.
"On July 16 Ncube was having a social discussion with his friend at around 9am when Moyo who is employed as a barman at a bottle store at Kwite Business Centre interjected.
"He labelled Ncube's wife a prostitute and went on to tell him that he was one of the men who was having sex with her behind his back. A misunderstanding arose and they two started fighting until they were stopped by members of the public who were at the business centre leading to their arrest," Mpofu said
