Zim robbers bashed and burnt to death in SA

Two Zimbabwean men from Nyabane area in Plumtree, Matabeleland South area in Plumtree were reportedly killed and had their bodies burnt in Johannesburg, South Africa after they were were accused of robbery and murder.
Willard Ndebele (28) and Gift Moyo whose age could not be established were tragically beaten up and burnt to burnt using tyres and petrol last Friday at Stop twelve area in Johannesburg.
According to sources from Johannesburg, Ndebele and Moyo were accused of robbing a man of a cellphone before allegedly killing him. The two Zimbabweans were however, seen by a local man who the reportedly alerted the community that Ndebele and Moyo had committed a criminal offence.
In response, it is said that locals stormed out of their houses and meted instant justice on the two. The residents reportedly beat the two to a pulp before setting them on fire to make sure they die for good.
"They robbed a man on the street and one resident saw them. he blew a whistle which alerted neighbours and the two Zimbabweans were caught. They were beaten up and burnt to death using tyres and petrol," said a source.
Ndebele comes from Plumtree and in an interview they confirmed that their family member had been murdered in South Africa.
"We received a call from South Africa that my brother had been killed and it became a tough time for us because we were immediately plunged into double mourning as we had just lost our elder brother who had not been well. Both my brothers died on the same day," said  the shaken surviving brother Nakanani Ndebele.
Ndebele's mother, Otilia Nkiwane could not believe that her son had been burnt to death in South Africa.
"I am at a loss of words. I don't know what hit me. They both left behind wives and young children," she said.
Efforts to get a comment from Gift Moyo's family proved futile.
