Gwanda Residents will this weekend come together to discuss and tackle corruption matters in the country generally and Gwanda in particular.

The indaba convened by a Non Governmental Organisation Gwanda Agenda an affiliate of Bulawayo Agenda is expected to give residents a chance to air their views and dissatisfaction on the on going graft in the country. The discussion forum to be held at the Gwanda Red Cross Hall on Saturday afternoon comes amidst reports of numerous incidents of massive corruption and money laundering by senior public servants around the country including senior officers at the Municipality of Gwanda.

Gwanda Agenda has invited a representative of Transparency International to be the main contributor in the discussions. Also invited to tackle the issue is Gwanda Ward 7 councillor Mr Jastone Mazhale (MDC T) who will present to the residents how much the graft in Gwanda has affected service delivery in the town. Mr Patrick Senderayi the current chairman of Gwanda Agenda is going to take the lead in the discussions presenting the various corruption reports that have been made in the country and particularly in the town.

Gwanda Agenda discussion forums have over the years presented Gwanda residents with an opportunity to air their grievances and views in the various issues affecting the town and district. The most recent meeting that was a huge success and was received by much appreciation by the residents included the Member of Parliament for Gwanda Central Mr Edison Gumbo and paved a way forward in solving water woes for the town.
