Mpofu misses major events due to illness

Transport and Infrastructure Development minister Obert Mpofu is reportedly indisposed with a yet to be established illness.

Mpofu has missed three major functions between last Thursday and yesterday due to sickness.

Last Thursday Mpofu failed to attend his Ministry's  ZITF cocktail party on Thursday with his officials saying he was ill.

On Friday, Mpofu was not seen at the ZITF official opening presided over by President Robert Mugabe.

Yesterday, Mpofu missed a donation to accident victims in his Umguza constituency.

Zanu PF Matabeleland North provincial chairman Richard Moyo presented a speech on behalf of Mpofu at the donation ceremony.

Efforts to get a comment from Mpofu were fruitless as his mobile phone was not reachable.
