A HOTEL manager, who is also said to be a marriage counsellor in Victoria Falls, is being sued for $10 000 for allegedly having sex with a married woman from Hwange.

Tenias Ndlovu, purportedly, had a sexual affair with Nobuhle Makute, who is married to Tendai Makute.

Tendai is claiming $10 000 in damages for personal embarrassment, hurt feelings, loss of his wife and personal distress as a result of the adulterous relationship.

In court papers, Tendai of Number 13 Green Walk, Hwange said Ndlovu at all times was aware that Nobuhle was a married woman.

He said Ndlovu, who is also married, unlawfully and wrongfully on numerous occasions entered into an adulterous relationship and had sexual intercourse with his wife.

Tendai said Ndlovu took advantage of his management position at Kingdom Hotel which allowed him to sleep for free at various hotels and lured Nobuhle.

Ndlovu, in response has denied the allegation that he was in an adulterous relationship with Nobuhle.

Sunday News managed to track Tendai who said the issue of his cheating wife came to light when he discovered a receipt for condoms in his wife's car.

"After I discovered the receipt, I sent her a picture of the receipt through Whatsapp and I phoned her, asking her to explain how the receipt happened to be in the car. She hung up the phone and never came home. However, through my investigations I discovered that she was cheating with one Ndlovu."

"I later discovered that Ndlovu is a church elder, marriage counsellor and manager at Kingdom Hotel. My source gave me the telephone number of Ndlovu's wife whom I contacted, alerting her that her husband has an affair with my wife."

He added: "Ndlovu's wife and I went to Kingdom Hotel, where I confronted him about his affair with my wife. When I saw Ndlovu, I was shocked because I had seen his pictures in my wife's phone on previous occasions.

"When I confronted Nobuhle, she said it's her friend who stays in Hwange. But, when I asked Ndlovu what his photos were doing in my wife's phone, he bluntly said anyone could download his pictures without his knowledge."

A report was made at the Victoria Falls Police Station where they were subsequently summoned to a round table.

"At the police station, an officer advised us that the matter was not a criminal matter, and if we wanted redress, Ndlovu's wife should sue my wife, and I should sue Ndlovu, which I successively did relying on the advice of the police," said Makute.

Nobuhle denied the allegations of infidelity, claiming that Tendai was the one who was cheating.

"Ask him (Tendai) about Grace Bhuzwayo, a girl from Bulawayo. That girl is the reason why our marriage is falling apart," she said.

She further said that Tendai made up the story of the receipt for condoms found in the car. Sunday News is in possession of the copy of the receipt.

While the marriage still subsists between Tendai and Nobuhle the couple are already fighting over matrimonial property and a retrenchment package valued at $34 000 that is due to Makute from Hwange Colliery Company.

Nobuhle has filed a separate court order, seeking a spoliation order for a motor vehicle, a Toyota Corolla Sprinter, where the receipt for Carex condoms was allegedly discovered.

Spoliation is an order from the court that an item of property be returned to its owner immediately.

"I approach this court for an order granting me half of the retrenchment package to enable me to buy immovable property for the minor child and I, seeing that the Respondent (Makute) and I have no house of our own.

"I pray that this honourable court orders the Respondent to pay me a sum of $17 000 being 50 percent of his expected retrenchment package," said Nobuhle through court papers.

Additionally, Nobuhle is claiming $570 maintenance per month for herself and their minor child.
