7-year old accused of bizarre murder

In a bizarre murder case, police are investigating the death of a four year old boy allegedly killed by another minor in Binga on Monday.

After the alleged gruesome murder the seven year old covered up the corpse with maize stalks.

National Police spokesperson Paul Nyathi said the deceased boy accompanied two other juveniles aged six and seven to herd cattle in the fields before a misunderstanding ensued over an unknown matter.

The seven year old picked up a stick and assaulted the deceased on the head several times, after noticing that he had died, the accused then covered the body with maize stalks and went home with his six year old friend.
