Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader, Welshman Ncube turned 53 today.
Below is a message form his followers,
May we all take sometime and pray that God blesses him with good health and many years to live. May we also thank God for creating him and making him a part of human kind.
Ncube still has a two-way mammoth task of co-leading the process of re-uniting Zimbabwean democrats from different political, civic and religious organisations and working with those democrats to establish a #Fair and #Just Zimbabwe where political and administrative power is devolved for the reach and use by ordinary citizenry.
As democrats concerned about unification we have to rally behind Ncube and other leaders involved in the working together programme. There are only two ways through which we can bring democrats together. It is either we look #BACKWARD and hope to reconstruct what was establish by the Working People's Convention in September 1999 by simply re-appointing the remaining office bearers of the 1999 outcome to their positions and assume to have let bygones be bygones.
Alternatively we can look #FORWARD and develop a Coalition based on our understanding and the need to discontinue the matters that necessitated the splits of 1963, 1980 (Patriotic Front's failure to contest elections as one)
